information I have (at the time the application was made
I called attention to the imperfect nature of the plan submitted by the Military Authorities) another 900 yards point can nowhere be obtained in this locality without encroaching on the site of the proposed Military Hospital.
8. With regard to Stonecutters' Range as I pointed out in my previous report the extension encroaches
on Military property and I hardly see how the Colonial
Government can dispose of this question without reference to
the Military Authorities.
9. As far as my recollection goes no mention was made of or works shewn on the plans submitted for the protec-
tion of the Bungalow. The Bungalow even was not shewn on the
plan.
10.
I fail to follow the Commodore in his remark
"as the Eifle Association possesses no claim to its ground,
I should suggest that it removes the only difficulty in the
way of the Colonial Government granting us this ground to
complete our Range".
11. I venture to think I have shewn sufficiently
that the objections raised in my report of the 10th of June
were not without foundation and that they do exist and
further that the plans submitted by the Commodore not only in
my opinion of any Engineer a Surveyor placed in the position
I was in respect of the application were totally inadequats
for the purpose of reporting on it.
12. I shall be happy to furnish you with copies of
the plans accompanying my report of the 10th ultimo for trans
mission to the Commodore if required".
